Happy New year Members! A slow start to 2012, with exams and sport halls being closed but we are all back up and running. A strange start too, as a club we have qualified for the final 8's without playing a game....The final 8's will be at Kettering on the 25/26th Feb, good luck to our Under 16 Boys. Congratulatulations also to our new members the Academy Bandits who won at the SW Mini's on Saturday, there great serving and solid defence were noted as always by other coaches
Lots of things to keep us busy until the summer comes!

A message from Volleyball England Volunteer Co-ordinator, I am excited to be beginning to recruit volunteers for the 2011-2012 indoor volleyball season. We need volunteer to take a number of roles ranging from Court Manager to Courtside Assistant to VIP Liaison at different events. Many roles require no volleyball knowledge or event experience. We are also looking for more ambitious volunteers who would like to take on leadership roles.
The first set of events we need volunteers for are the Sitting Grand Prix series. Sitting Volleyball is another version of Volleyball that has been adapted to allow anyone to participate including those with a disability and will feature in the London 2012 Paralympics. The Grand Prix is a series of single day events across the country with the top teams going through to the National Finals. You can volunteer for one or more of the series. The dates and locations are as follows:
Sunday 30th October 2011 - Kettering
Sunday 20th November 2011 - Dorking
Sunday 11th December 2011 - Kettering
Sunday 22nd January 2012- Kettering
Sunday 19th February 2012 - Stoke Mandeville
Sunday 11th March 2012 � Kettering
We would also need volunteers for the National Cup Finals at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th April. Recruitment for this will begin a bit nearer the time but please keep the date free!

All our club sessions are now up and running with after school, Petroc League Ladder, Wed Club Training and New this year at Ilfracombe on Friday 17:30-19:00.

Bideford should start again in October and the Chivenor Sessions on Fridays might just be back watch this space. See you all Soon
