Beach Volleyball

ABS is based in Croyde during the summer with four semi-permanent beach volleyball courts on Croyde beach by the river mouth, as well as two permanent courts at the Village Green. (The Green Beach). We also run beach sessions at Instow beach on Friday evenings (temporary courts).

The Croyde beach courts are traditionally put up on the first May Bank Holiday Monday with our Academy Dig in: all members are welcome, on opening day, to help establish the courts for the summer. These are left up all summer and are open and to use when-ever you like.

ABS organise beach training from the end of the indoor season up to the school spring half term.

We then hand over the training to Volleyball Inc, run by Denise Austin until the end of July. Please visit the volleyball Inc website link:

During the beach season our training days are;

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Croyde Beach or Croyde Green Beach.

Fridays are at Instow Beach.

Check our twitter page for times and locations as these may vary based on tides and weather.
